Detailed Info
Accommodation at Breakas Beach Resort is in identically designed bungalows, either in a garden setting or beside the beach, or in one of six new 3-bedroom villas located a few hundred metres along the beachfront from the main resort area and restaurant. Bungalows have breezy interiors with high thatch roofs, wooden louver windows, rock wall bathrooms with shower and a private veranda. The seventeen beachfront bungalows (six of which have premium views facing the sunset) face the ocean whilst nineteen garden bungalows meander along sand pathways amongst tropical trees and lush vegetation.
The beach at Breakas is of coarse coral sand and rocky to either side of the main resort area with a shallow tidal lagoon good for reef walking but not swimming, and deep water at the reef drop-off thirty metres out from the tide mark. On calm days there’s good swimming and snorkelling at the reef’s edge but being deep sea this may not be practical for non-confident swimmers. There’s a refreshing designer swimming pool with seating area and restaurant behind for relaxing. Village tours and kava evenings are encouraged to nearby villages. For scuba divers, Big Blue offer PADI instruction at the Breakas resort pool.
